Julie Vergette, DVM Terms of Service

Last updated: 3/16/2026

General Info

Welcome to Julie Vergette, DVM. We provide veterinary telemedicine consultations and related pet health services (“Services”) through this website and any mobile interface. By using our Services you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.

1. Services Provided
Julie Vergette, DVM connects pet owners with licensed veterinarians for telemedicine, telehealth, and remote care when allowed by applicable law. Telemedicine includes advice, education or guidance delivered via electronic communications when the veterinarian and the patient are not in the same physical location.

Julie Vergette, DVM is a platform.  Julie Vergette, DVM is a  licensed veterinarian and engaged through Julie Vergette, DVM and is responsible for their own clinical decisions and must comply with applicable professional standards and laws.

2. No Emergency Care
These Services are not for urgent or emergency medical situations. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, you must seek immediate in-person veterinary care or contact your nearest emergency clinic.

3. Account, Identity and Eligibility
You must provide accurate, complete and current information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Julie Vergette, DVM may refuse access or terminate accounts for misuse, fraud, or violation of these Terms.

4. Licensing, VCPR and Geographic Limits
Veterinary services, including prescriptions, may only be provided by veterinarians licensed in the specific jurisdiction where the pet is located at the time of the session and only if local law permits a Veterinary Client Patient Relationship (“VCPR”) via telemedicine. If a valid VCPR cannot be established, advice may be limited to general guidance or educational information.

5. Limitations of Advice and Outcomes
Telemedicine has limits. You understand and agree that Julie Vergette, DVM and its veterinarians do not guarantee any diagnosis, treatment plan or outcome. If physical examination or diagnostics are clinically required, the veterinarian may recommend in-person care. In person care is always recommended in some form, and telemedicine doesn’t replace in person care when it’s needed.

6. Payment and Fees
Fees for telemedicine consultations and any related service must be paid at time of booking through the website. All payment processing is handled by WIX Payments and associated payment partners. Julie Vergette, DVM is not responsible for outages, errors or data loss by third party payment providers.

7. Prescription Policy
Veterinarians may only issue prescriptions when legally permitted and only if a valid VCPR exists under state law. Not all conditions are appropriate for prescription treatment via telemedicine. When you order prescriptions on Julie Vergette, DVM, you will be redirected to a pharmacy fulfilment site powered by Covetrus.  Payment processing on Covetrus is through their associated payment provider.  Julie Vergette, DVM is not responsible for client information, payment collection, refunds, cancellations, or processing on orders made through Covetrus.

8. Intellectual Property
Content on this site (text, graphics, logos, software) is owned by Julie Vergette, DVM or its licensors. You are granted a limited right to use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not copy, reproduce or redistribute content without express permission.

9. Confidentiality, Recordings and Transcriptions
By using the telemedicine Services, you consent to recording or transcription of consultations for recordkeeping and legal compliance purposes. All records are treated as confidential as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. No Unlawful Use
You may not use the Services for any purpose that violates law, promotes harm, or interferes with others’ use. Abusive, harassing, deceptive, fraudulent or malicious conduct is prohibited and may lead to account termination.

11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Julie Vergette, DVM and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the Services, including but not limited to pet injury or loss, loss of data, or failure to provide or delay in providing Services. Where liability cannot be limited under applicable law, it is capped at the amount you paid in the prior twelve months for Services.

12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Julie Vergette, DVM, its veterinarians, employees and agents harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Services or violation of these Terms.

13. Disputes and Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state where Julie Vergette, DVM is registered. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable state law.

14. Changes to Terms
Julie Vergette, DVM may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version here.
